这里到底是什么

Dongjiao Memory is a converted 1950s electronics factory in east Chengdu where Soviet-era red-brick workshops now host indie shops, design studios, live-music venues, and Sichuan opera teahouses. Locals come for the East Wind locomotive and Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) steel stacks at the entrance, the giant 'Chengdu' calligraphy wall, and weekend pop-up markets inside the old assembly halls.

综评

Worth a half-day for anyone interested in Chengdu's industrial past or in a low-effort creative-park stop. Skip if you want traditional Sichuan heritage (go Wuhou Shrine) or nature (Qingcheng Mountain).

亮点
Soviet-industrial architecture survives intact, not just decorative facades.
The Grand Stage Teahouse is the most accessible way to see Sichuan opera face-changing for under CNY 100.
Direct Metro Line 8 exit at the south gate — no transfer from Chunxi Road.
要注意
Inside-park cafes run 30+ CNY per drink; Jianshe Road five minutes away is half that.
The 'Chengdu' wall queues start around 10 AM; the spiral staircase trick only works on weekdays.
Summer heat is real — the brick courtyards trap heat and there's little shade.

Soviet-Era Red-Brick Workshops

Built in the 1950s as Chengdu's No. 4 Wireless Instrument Factory, the curved red-brick arch and twin chimneys by the south gate are still the park's defining image. The interior assembly halls were repurposed without changing their steel trusses — a deliberate choice that keeps the post-1949 industrial bones intact.

East Wind Locomotive Plaza

A real Dongfeng (East Wind) red locomotive and a green steel passenger coach sit on a stub of track at the north gate. Locals pose on the carriage step and lean against the white vintage station sign; the engine and coach are free to climb aboard during park hours.

Central Avenue Indie Shops

The wide central spine holds Chengdu-only fashion brands, CGT48 idol theatre, Miracle Coffee, and weekend pop-up markets. Most shops open around 11:00, and evenings draw a younger crowd than Chunxi Road for concerts and street-food stalls.
