What it costs, how you pay, what comes back.
Everything on this page is the same in the app, word for word. Payment happens inside the InChina app; this website does not take payments.
1. The rate table
Per service day, in US dollars at today's rate (¥6.70 per $1, 2026-10-09); the app shows the day's rate and payment is taken in yuan. A standard service day is eight hours from the meeting time on your confirmation; beyond that is charged by the hour at the tier's rate, shown before you confirm. A car covers up to 300 km a day, driver and fuel included; well beyond that we assess by hand. Tickets, meals and accommodation are not included. Prices are per item per day, rounded to the nearest ¥50, and fixed once shown.
GUIDE TIERS2. What the price is made of
You pay 30% online when you confirm. That payment is what locks in the guide and the vehicle for your dates: the agency holds them for you from that moment. The balance goes to the provider on the day. The 30% is two things, the booking fee and the service prepayment; the app shows both amounts before you pay.
Our platform service fee for pricing, arranging and confirming the booking. Refunded in full whenever you cancel. On request we issue a VAT e-invoice for it after the service; the agency invoices the rest.
Your prepayment towards the agency, and the reason the guide and vehicle are held for your dates. InChina holds it and passes it on after the service; it is not ours and is never used for anything else.
70% of the price, paid to the agency through its business payment channel on the service day. Never to a personal account or a personal payment code. We never hold it.
3. Cancellation and refunds
Before you pay, closing a request is free at any time. Once you have paid, the table below applies, counted from the local start time of the first booked service day. The booking fee comes back in full in every row. The app shows which row you fall into, and what comes back, before you confirm a cancellation.
Public holiday dates (Labour Day, National Day, Spring Festival) use the stricter row: 3 to 7 days before becomes “less 2/3”, and anything closer is not refunded. What is deducted goes to the provider, which has held the dates and turned other work away. We start the refund within 5 business days, back to the account you paid from. The balance is never part of this: if the service does not happen you do not pay it.
4. How you pay
Payment happens inside the InChina app, on the payment screen that appears after the agency has confirmed your dates. This website does not take payments and never asks for card details.
Scan our business payment code in the app. Both accept international cards; the wallet may add a fee of its own, and the app tells you before you pay.
Visa, Mastercard and other international cards, paid directly in the app. Shown in the app as “Setup in progress” until it goes live.
Always back through the channel you paid with, to the same account. Neither InChina nor the provider will redirect a refund to a different person or account.
The same numbers, in the app.
Open your itinerary, pick the days, and the app prices them from this table. Nothing is charged until availability is confirmed. Questions: support@inchinatravel.com.
